Australian Dream in a Few Months
Yeeeeeees! After months of processing and completing the very stressful visa application, my Australian visa has been approved! Well, I was supposed to leave last February 2012, but given the delay of the visa grant, I cancelled my enrolment and attend my classes next intake instead.
At least, the nervousness and anxiety level went down to 40%. Te heeee!

True Love of a Brother
Stumbled upon my friend's page on Facebook and I saw this story on her wall. I was touched and I believe this one's worth sharing.
I saw a cashier hand a little boy his money back, the boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old. The cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.''
The little boy turned to the old woman next to him,''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?'' She replied, ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly. The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand. Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.' I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry. But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there too.' His eyes were so sad while saying this, 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.'' My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said, 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.' Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me. I luvmy mommy and I wish she didn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.'
Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly. I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll!'' OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money. The little boy said, 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!' Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'' 'My mommy loves white roses.' A few minutes later,
the old lady returned and I left with my basket. I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine because the young woman would not be able to recover from
the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?
Two days after this encounter with the little boy I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine, and in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Very Disappointing Establishment: Chic-Boy
We used to love Chic-Boy since it opened recently. But after dining at the newly opened San Pedro branch, I swear that I would never eat or dine or pig out or whatsoever on this food establishment.
Ang natatanging food establishment na na-witness ko wherein lahat ng customer, nakatunganga na lang at mainit na ang ulo dahil wala na raw sila rice at nagsasaing pa. They should have foreseen that they're running out of rice para naisip nila na "mag-saing na kaya tayo kasi paubos na yung rice oh, ang dami pa namang kumakain!" But hell no! The family seated beside us even ordered rice in a nearby fastfood just to feed their hungry stomach!
A very disappointed customer here. Hindi ito isang beses lang na nangyari. I gave them a second chance kaya I tried ulit the first time I experienced it. But this time, I think enough na. Puro positive feedback lang ang tinatanggap nila. Paano yung nagreklamong customer dahil may napakalaking caterpillar sa Ginisang Kangkong na order niya? Binibigyan ba nila ng atensyon at aksyon yun? Here's the link so you can guys see the complaint statement of that Chic-Boy incident by Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo. I am no way related to the complainant, but I think, that should be given immediate attention and action. Calling BFAD!
Tsk tsk tsk. Caterpillar on your almost ubos na Ginisang Kangkong? |
Poor caterpillar. Pigang-piga ka na. |
Enough said. |

Coca-Cola Made Me Cry
Great job, Coca-Cola!
My Abnormal Cravings
Haaaay... It's Saturday morning and I'm still up! P is currently updating my iPhone so I don't have a choice but to use the computer. Time check: 3:09AM and I am craving... again! (Therefore, blog!)
I am a consummate snacker. I have weird cravings. In short, matakaw ako!
Yesterday, I craved for something sweet. Today, I am craving for something salty. Tomorrow, can you guess? Yes! I would be craving for something sweet nanaman. That's how weird my cravings are. I crave alternately: salty - sweet - salty - sweet. It's a neeeeever ending phase! Kaya P tells me na ang takaw takaw ko!
Well, my cravings come in phase. Sometimes, it would take weeks or even months to satisfy my cravings. But mind you, I crave for the same kind of junkie. Ask P, and I am 100% sure that he knows what to buy next time when I say I am craving for something salty or something sweet.
Something Salty.
My best life-saver if tight ang budget sa junk food! |
I can survive a day eating only this! |
Mind you, gusto ko malaki talaga yung Pik-nik can. |
Survivor days. Hahaha! |
To die for!!!
Something Sweet.
Yuuuum! |
Always on my "must-buy list" whenever I travel to Singapore. |
They sell very affordable haw flakes in Sheng Shong. Hey, where can I buy Haw Flakes like this nowadays? I buy kasi sa SM Supermarket a different brand eh. |
Ahhhh, P would definitely agree! When he came back from Italy last month, I consumed a bag of Milky Way! |
P buys me Flat Tops all the time. Sweet! |
...And hell yeah! I am a spoiled girlfriend.

Punchdrunk Panda Camera Straps
I'm not in the mood for anything the whole day today. I just stayed in front of my computer doing logos for my client, editing stuff, creating layouts for my blog and browsing anything.
I stumbled upon Punchdrunk Panda's website and my eyes enjoyed the view! Online shopping to the rescue!
I've been wanting to change the camera strap of my DSLR for some reason. Yeah, aside from having Pacsafe's Anti-theft Camera Strap, I want something more posh. Punchdrunk Panda's Camera Straps are soooooooo my type. Look.
Credits to Punchdrunk Panda for the images.

Hellolulu DSLR Bag!
When P and I had our Singapore vacation this year, I had a problem bringing my DSLR since I had no decent camera bag yet during that time.
We were about to go back to the Philippines that time when I saw this lady carrying a very pretty camera bag. I had a hard time seeing the brand of the camera bag, but thanks to my photographic memory! When we had our dinner date with my college barkada, P and I dropped by Travel Club in Glorietta 4. I checked their camera bag... and poooooof! I saw the camera bag I've been dying to have. Hell yeah, it's expensive! It costs like my Charles & Keith bags. *sigh*
Unfortunately, the only color available during that time was this raspberry tart which I ended up buying.
It also comes in three other colors -- black ink, purple cow and ocean blue. I really prefer the purple cow, but like what I said earlier, it wasn't available.
This DSLR Camera Bag constructed of lightweigh nylon, featuring accent colors, well protect interior compartment and pockets keep your DLSR camera and all the accessories neat and organized on the go.
Features:
- Fits most DSLR cameras
- Made with water resistant Nylon exterior
- Fully padded interior compartment with soft inner lining
- Interior zipped pocket to store battery or memory card
- Exterior zipped pocket for added storage
- Removable padded dividers which can be adjusted to accomodate camera, lens and accessories
- Adjustable padded shoulder strap and carrying handle
My New Baby from My Baby
I know! I know! I haven't blogged yet about my new camera which P gave me when he came back from Europe last April. P gave me a new DSLR! Woopee!
The first time I used my new baby was when we had our Singapore vacation last April-May 2011. P, coming from a family of photographers/photography addicts, influenced me a lot to develop my love for photography.
When I get to have enough resources, I really want to take a photography course. His dad, being a professional photographer, sometimes teaches me about photography basics when we have time. Kahit tirik na ang sikat ng araw, naku po! Go pa din sa apperture priority mode lessons chorva!
Thanks babe for supporting my passion!
